Location: San Jose, CA
This new facility will serve as the wellness and healthcare center for this campus. A new alle of Mexican fan palms continues the existing palm alle to the north tieing into the existing campus aesthetic. With a goal of LEED Gold certification, infiltration planters along the eastern facade will filter and treat storm water runoff for the entire site while providing a separation between the busy promenade to the east and the building entry plaza. Metal runnels drain the roof runoff across the plaza before they spill into the infiltration planters where it is treated and allowed to infiltrate into the soil. Metal grating walkways and staggered custom wooden benches break up the space. Creo's principal was responsible for project management & design while at MPA Design.
